Festival of Trees

The photo is of a little Christmas tree decoration that I made when I was in grade 4. Our class choir went to an event called "The Festival of Trees", and there were a lot of fun things to make and do. I remember thinking that it was the most amazing thing ever.

This page is a little different for me. It's inspired by the invitation pictured below that I found on pinterest. I usually do a 12x12 format, but I was inspired by all of Lisa Truesdell's 8.5x11 pages in her class over at Two Peas in a Bucket. Also, the gold foil paper I had was 8.5x11, so 12x12 wasn't really an option if I wanted to use it for the stripes. I found it a little hard to get used to the different proportions in the 8.5x11 size, but I like the end result, something a little different than what I normally do.
